We have worked with Institute of Fisheries Management (IFM) since 2011, when we built their previous membership website and CRM. Five years is a long time on the web, so in 2016 the website and system was due for a refresh to keep up with best practice, and we were pleased to be asked to work on the upgrade.

IFM's web-based system integrates their website with CiviCRM for membership management, events management and integrated e-commerce.

For the latest incarnation of IFM's web presence and CRM, we upgraded IFM's CiviCRM membership management system to the latest version.

CiviCRM continues to be an excellent choice for the Institute as it gives a central system for business intelligence, membership management, events, finances and communication.

Back in 2011, Drupal was the only option as a website content management system. Fast forward to 2016 and CiviCRM now supports integration with the more user-friendly WordPress content management system. Switching to WordPress also allowed us to upgrade the e-commerce shopping cart to WooCommerce, one of our areas of expertise.

The Institute's members are able to apply and pay for membership online, book events, purchase products, review job vacancies, upload coursework and register their ongoing professional development (CPD).

And because the new site is responsive, website users have a great experience no matter which device they're using – mobile, tablet, laptop, desktop.
